Forest (Strawberry Thief Bird)
The inspiration for this design came from an original tapestry woven with wool and silk at Merton Abbey in 1887, designed by William Morris, Philip Webb and John Henry Dearle. Morris used birds and animals from earlier tapestries in conjunction with a dense cover of trailing acanthus leaves taken from his first tapestry "Acanthus & Vine" into which have been placed Philip Webb's five studies of animals and birds (Peacock, Hare, Lion, Fox and Raven).

Watch is fine and is what I expected for the price. Unfortunately the hour needle has scuffed polish or a greasy finger print marring it. Would have been easy to avoid if QC was better. Expected more for a quartz watch at this price.

Made online purchase on 29 Apr for 2 watches as a gift for an important occasion. It's 12 May and it's no where in sight. I was told that it will arrive 8-9pm. It's 11pm.
First I was told on 8 May (after I emailed to ask on 5 May) that the engraver was closed the week of 1 May. And they are expediting the engraving to send out asap.
Then I chased up again on 10 May to ask about the delivery. They assured me that I will receive it by 11 May.
And of course I did not. I had to reach out again on 12 May to enquire. And what a surprise I was told that the delivery was unsuccessful timed 11 May 1031pm. I was home the whole evening and night. No door bell no phone ring.
I was promised again that I will receive the item on 12 May 8-9pm. And I told the customer service to hand my mobile phone to the delivery company. And yet again, nothing in sight no phone call. Nothing. 11pm.
And they are closed on the weekend and there is no way to reach out to them. Or the delivery company. Wow.
Don't trust your money to this brand. It's a major disappointment.

Love this piece. Can't speak on how it holds up over time, though, as I've only had it a few weeks. But this will probably be my signature watch for a long time. I do wish August Berg made a blue leather strap with a rose gold buckle, though. Please think about it!

Love this gold mesh strap! The clip was a little tricky at first, until I worked it out, but it holds fast and doesn't come loose. It's very easy to swap the strap over, and it coordinates beautifully with my dark green and gold August Berg watch, giving it a very dressy different look.

I bought this watch as a present for a friend's 60th birthday coming up soon. I think she will love it! The lovely burgundy red colour matches her garnet birthstone, and the gold mesh band looks very stylish, it's a nice touch. Love the cute little second hand on it's own separate dial on the watch face too!

Great looking watch get many compliments
I received my watch , set the time.. and half a day CC later realized that the hands had not moved. I reset the time verifying that the crown was pushed in.. it still didn’t work. I wish less money / effort had been put into the package and more into having a reliable time piece.
I am pleased to report that the August Berg team, was able to send me a beautiful and very functional replacement. No hassles…
