Pimpernel
Pimpernel is a clear example of the relationship William Morris created between the design of wallpapers and fabrics, influenced by oriental models. Morris designed Pimpernel in 1876 and later chose it to decorate his dining room at Kelmscott House in Hammersmith, London. Titled Pimpernel, this design is an example of how the interest in Japanese design led to the simplification of lines and colours. Morris was particularly keen on curved acanthus leaves and climber willow and honeysuckle branches, which he used time and time again as the central theme or in the backgrounds.

Though, there was a misunderstanding with my order (delay caused by the engraving), my watch arrived to me safe and sound. Just this: Beautiful watch!!! Though, it would be nice not to have to pay for engraving, or even getting a an extra free strap for the price, like About Vintage does/offers. Other than that, I am enjoying it very much.

Love this gold mesh strap! The clip was a little tricky at first, until I worked it out, but it holds fast and doesn't come loose. It's very easy to swap the strap over, and it coordinates beautifully with my dark green and gold August Berg watch, giving it a very dressy different look.

I bought this watch as a present for a friend's 60th birthday coming up soon. I think she will love it! The lovely burgundy red colour matches her garnet birthstone, and the gold mesh band looks very stylish, it's a nice touch. I received my watch , set the time.. and half a day CC later realized that the hands had not moved. I reset the time verifying that the crown was pushed in.. it still didn’t work. I wish less money / effort had been put into the package and more into having a reliable time piece.
I am pleased to report that the August Berg team, was able to send me a beautiful and very functional replacement. No hassles…
It’s the perfect watch for events, or just time off.
